Photo School
Mira 9 presents
a short course in Photography, Cameras and Lenses, as well
as a range of 1-day workshops.
This
course consists of 6 sessions, each of 2 to 3 hours duration, plus an
outdoor practical shoot (weather permitting). It is meant for

the course aims at providing (i) an understanding of what makes a good
photograph; (ii) an understanding

At least 3 of these sessions will be held in a classroom-type environment, and
each includes practical hints and tips related
to what has been discussed. Assignments are given during the course and, depending
upon the level of experience, most participants achieve an improvement in the
quality of their photographs after the first session.
Cost: R1400 per participant for 6 sessions. An outdoor practical shoot is included.
Participants who have their own camera should bring this to all sessions.
Time will be allocated to evaluation of photos taken by the participants.
Several types of 1-day workshops are presented, covering: (i) the basics; (ii) more advanced
topics; and (iii) question-and-answer topics, the latter affording participants
the opportunity of having their specific questions discussed. Although a knowledge of the fundamentals
is preferred for attendance at the more advanced workshop, participants
may select individual workshops according to their requirements. A 1-day workshop is also presented on the basics of digital image enhancement using Adobe Photoshop - more information about this workshop
here.
The cost of each workshop is R340 per participant.
Courses and workshops may be customised to participants' requirements.
